Candidate for president Vardan Sedrakyan ready to pay sum needed for Raffi Hovannisian’s participation in presidential race
Specialist in epic Vardan Sedrakyan, who has announced his nomination for the presidential elections, is ready to pay the sum needed for Heritage party leader Raffi Hovannisian’s participation in the presidential race. Sedrakyan will announce his intention at a news conference on November 12, Armat press club said.
On November 2, Raffi Hovannisian officially announced his decision to run for the president of Armenia.
Raffi Hovannisian does not have sufficient funds to run in presidential elections and has decided to collect this sum from his supporters, Hraparak daily reported on November 8. Heritage spokesman Hovsep Khurshudyan told Hraparak that this is a new culture which should be spread in our country. “We want our citizens to have share in the forming government and make a symbolic contribution to it,” he noted.
