International Forum of Translators and Publishers completed
The VI International Forum of Translators and Publishers “Theory and Practice: Overcoming the Gap” has been completed.
The forum took place in Yerevan from 5 to 8 November. It was held with support from Armenian Ministry of Culture and CIS Interstate Foundation for Humanitarian Cooperation, Book Foundation’s press service reported.
With two remarkable events, 500th anniversary of Armenian printing (the first Armenian book, "Friday Book" (“Urbatagirk"), was published by Hakob Meghapart in 1512 in Venice) and proclamation of Yerevan as 2012 World Book Capital, the forum brought together translators and literary workers from more than 100 countries across the world.
