Armenian Justice Minister, Iranian Majlis Speaker meet in Tehran
The strengthening of economic relations between Armenia and Iran will boost co-existence in the region, Iranian Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani stated during a meeting with Armenian Justice Minister Hrayr Tovmasyan in Tehran, Iran's state-run news agency IRNA reported.
Referring to the current level of Armenian-Iranian relations, Iranian Majlis Speaker said that the historical and cultural ties between the two peoples have created an atmosphere of understanding, which contributes to the strengthening of political and economic cooperation.
Commenting on cooperation in the legal field, Ali Larijani assessed as helpful the agreements on mutual legal assistance and extradition that are due to be signed by Iran and Armenia.
Armenian Justice Minister, for his part, said that Armenian-Iranian friendly relations are a good example of regional cooperation, adding that the leaders of the two countries are willing to develop cooperation in various fields.
