Armenian National Assembly fails to convene for urgent session initiated by ANC due to lack of quorum
A move by the opposition bloc Armenian National Congress (ANC) to hold an urgent session in parliament to discuss amendments to the Electoral Code of Armenia failed today due to the failure to meet the quorum requirement.
With many Republican MPs being in the parliament house, nevertheless, only NA Vice Speakers Edward Sharmazanov and Hermine Naghdalyan registered for the session.
ANC had predicted such an outcome. The opposition bloc will gather in protest in front of the parliament building at 14:00.
