Polish envoy on Safarov case: Glorification of murderer can never be acceptable
EU foreign affairs representative Catherine Ashton presented her view on what happened in Azerbaijan. Glorification of a murderer can never be acceptable, Polish ambassador to Armenia Zdzisław Raczyński said during a conference dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the establishment of Armenian-Polish diplomatic relations, after being asked by a Panorama.am correspondent, “Is existence of Armenians in Azerbaijan possible after the Safarov incident and isn’t this a proof that Nagorno-Karabakh can no longer be part of Azerbaijan?”
The Polish envoy noted that he visited Nagorno-Karabakh as a journalist 20 years ago and has first-hand knowledge of war.
“Having seen the horror of war, I am reiterating now that the Armenians and Azerbaijanis are neighbors, and they should reach an agreement. None of these peoples can move to another planet,” said the ambassador.
