Agent: Ronaldinho set to renew deal with Atletico Mineiro
Brazilian star Ronaldinho is set to discuss a renewal of his deal with Atletico Mineiro in the coming week, Goal.com reported.
The 32-year-old has been linked with a move to Fluminense and Santos after his impressive performances in recent months, but his club have acted quickly to ensure the attacker stays at the club.
Ronaldinho's brother and agent, Roberto Assis, refrained from making an official announcement, but conceded that talks are likely to go smoothly.
"I can not confirm the renewal, but here he has the conditions to stay and this is the feeling in the air. The relationship is very good and we have all the prerequisites to renew," Assis was quoted saying by Lancenet.
"I do not know if it will be two years, three, four, or a lifetime. Let us discuss calmly, with tranquillity, he is happy at the club. We have a meeting set for next week."
"The year is not over for him. He is focusing on his next two matches for Atletico which will shape the season," the agent added.
