Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, Iranian Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani meet in Damascus
Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and Iranian Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani have met in Damascus, Iran’s semi-official news agency Fars reported.
During the meeting, the Syrian President and the Iranian Majlis Speaker discussed a range of key international issues. Ali Larijani expressed Iran’s support for the government and people of Syria.
After meeting with Bashar al-Assad, Larijani departed for Lebanon, Iran’s Mehr news agency said.
The Iranian Majlis Speaker will also visit Turkey as part of his regional tour.
