Monaco interested in Lampard
Monaco are the latest club to show interest in Chelsea’s Frank Lampard, the Daily Mail reported.
The England midfielder, 34, is set to leave Stamford Bridge in January or the summer and has offers from Chinese side Guizhou Renhe and LA Galaxy. Paris Saint- Germain are also interested.
But Monaco, backed by Russian billionaire Dmitry Rybolovlev, want Lampard to spearhead their revival after relegation last year.
Coached by Claudio Ranieri, who took Lampard to Chelsea from West Ham in 2001, they plan to re-establish themselves as the top club in France.
Chelsea boss Rafa Benitez has confirmed he expects Lampard and Ashley Cole to leave. Cole, 31, is expected to join PSG on a three-year deal in the summer.
