168 Zham: Hrant Bagratyan ANC’s alternative candidate
Ex-Prime Minister of Armenia, member of Armenian National Congress (ANC) parliamentary faction Hrant Bagratyan is going to run for president, 168 Zham reports.
According to the paper’s sources, Bagratyan will not be candidate for president if ANC leader Levon Ter-Petrosyan runs for elections.
“Bagratyan sees as his allies only those members of ANC who are against cooperation between ANC and PAP. If Hrant Bagratyan indeed runs for president, it will result in one more, or, perhaps, a final split in ANC, which could finally force this organization out of political life,” the paper comments.
