Iranian Majlis: Azeri drones will suffer the same fate as American ones
The Azeri drones will suffer the same fate as the American ones, stated Chairman of Iran's Majlis Defense Committee, Esmail Kowsari, Iranian parliament’s official website reported.
Commenting on the report that Azerbaijan is using drones to carry out spying missions along its border with Iran, the Iranian MP said, in part, “Iran’s Armed Forces will soon take the necessary action in response to Baku’s illegal actions and any action by them will receive a harsh response.”
The Chairman of Iran's Majlis Defense Committee noted that Iran’s Armed Forces had caught two American drones during the last two years.
“Any drone that will cross the air frontier of our country will be rendered harmless. If Azerbaijan continues its actions, the Azeri drones will suffer the same fate as the American ones,” Kowsari added.
PressTV.ir reported on Monday that Azerbaijan is using drones to carry out spying missions along its border with Iran. Iranian military experts said Azerbaijan has been using Orbiter ultra-light drones assembled with Israeli help, as well as Hermes-450 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) “for control and surveillance missions.”
