Aram Sargsyan: There should be political figures in political struggle
The upcoming presidential elections will become a triumph of one person - Serzh Sargsyan, leader of Democratic Party of Armenia (DPA) Aram Sargsyan told a news conference in Yerevan.
“A new political agenda needs to be formed in Armenia. The point is that the political figures and political forces that could be formed to ensure real competition during the upcoming elections were in the same field. This is the main reason why no political and ideological competition is expected,” said Sargsyan.
Commenting on Prosperous Armenia Party’s decision not to nominate any presidential candidate, DPA’s leader noted that such developments came to once again confirm the fact that big business first of all cares for preserving its capital.
“All this is evidence that there should be political figures in the political struggle,” he added.
