CSTO session to address Uzbekistan issue
The CSTO session today in Moscow will address the issue of Uzbekistan’s activities in CSTO, among other issues, a Panorama.am correspondent reported from Moscow.
We will remind that in June 2012, Uzbekistan sent a note to the CSTO Secretariat for suspending its membership.
The CSTO session will also discuss issues related to the organization’s military component and the system of joint response to emergency situations.
Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan has left for a working visit to Russia to attend the CSTO session.
Leaders of other member countries of CSTO – Russian President Vladimir Putin, Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, Tajik President Emomali Rahmon, Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev – and CSTO Secretary General Nikolay Bordyuzha will also attend the CSTO session.
