Hayk Babukhanyan: President Serzh Sargsyan has no rival
The Constitutional Law Union (CLU) party will convene council meeting on December 28 to announce support for incumbent President Serzh Sargsyan, chairman of Constitutional Law Union party Hayk Babukhanyan told a news conference in Yerevan.
The party decided to support Serzh Sargsyan because the directions of foreign and domestic policy development of the country indicated in the President’s speech at the RPA’s Convention are in line with the political course of the CLU, the party’s leader explained.
“We should realize that our region is in a very complicated situation and our country needs an experienced leader who will be able to ensure stability in both foreign and domestic policy. We see incumbent President as country’s leader because he has proven his abilities,” said Babukhanyan.
According to the CLU leader, with no rival in the political arena, President Serzh Sargsyan will win in the first tour of the elections.
