Issues concerning promotion of Armenian tourists have been discussed in Adjaria
Delegation headed by the head of Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church in Georgia Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan recently visited the Supreme Council of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara settled in Chakvi, suburb in Batumi. According to the RA Press and Information department of Foreign Ministry they had meetings with Avtandil Beridze newly elected Chairman of the Supreme Council of Adjara. The delegation was accompanied by the Consul General in Batumi Aram Grigoryan.
After greetings they exchanged thoughts about Armenian – Adjerian ties, life of Armenian community in Ajaria, and the activities of Supreme Council. Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan has attached importance to the role of the Armenian community in the life of the autonomous republic, has told about the restoration works of the Armenian Church being implemented in Batumi and the problems it faces at present.
Avtandil Beridze discussed issues concerning the new types of tourism in Adjaria with the Consul General in Batumi. It will promote the Armenian tourists to visit Adjaria. The sides exchanged views on developing mutually beneficial ties in agricultural, cultural and social areas.
