Iranian Defense Minister: Syrian armed forces do not need Iran’s support
The Syrian armed forces do not need Iran’s support, Iranian Defense Minister Ahmad Vahidi told Iran’s news agency ISNA in an interview.
Referring to the reports in Turkish media that Iran conducts trainings for the Syrian army, the Iranian Defense Minister said, “The Syrian armed forces do not need Iran’s support because Syria has a strong army which is ready for a possible conflict with Israel.”
Commenting on the deployment of the Patriot missiles on the Turkish-Syrian border, Ahmad Vahidi said that first of all, it is harmful for Turkey.
