In this period, we were able first of all to make our society open, President Serzh Sargsyan said in an interview with Russia 24 news channel in response to the reporter’s question of which activities ensure the possibility of his reelection.

The reporter said that studies available to Russian media show that the incumbent President has great chances of victory. In response, Serzh Sargsyan said, “Indeed, I think I have a good possibility to win the confidence of our people for having second term in office.”

Commenting on the works done during his tenure, the Armenian President stated that like in many other countries, particularly developing ones, there are a lot of unsolved problems in our country.

“At the same time, in this period, we were able first of all to make our society open. I think now we have open society: people freely criticize the government and there is political competition. I think our media feel free,” said the President, adding that despite the fact that like in all countries in the world, media say they are discontented, nevertheless, much work has been done in this direction.
