Nomination of presidential candidates begins today
The nomination of candidates for presidential elections begins today, December 25, and will last until January 4.
Hermine Harutyunyan, a spokesperson for Armenia’s Central Electoral Commission (CEC), told Panorama.am that the commission would also work on non-working days and accept applications from candidates.
Armenia will hold presidential elections on February 18, 2013. According to the electoral law of Armenia, presidential elections are held fifty days prior to the expiration of the President’s term of office. The Election Day is announced non-working day.
