RA Defense Ministry spokesman advises Sabiroglu to familiarize himself more closely with names of international organizations
Azerbaijani Defense Ministry spokesman Eldar Sabiroglu has made remarks concerning Armenia in an interview with 1news.az. Panorama.am held an interview with Armenian Defense Ministry spokesman Artsrun Hovhannisyan on this matter.
- Mister Hovhannisyan, how would you comment on the statement of Eldar Sabiroglu that “international research institutes and centers drew a conclusion that the situation in the Armed Forces of Armenia is grave.”
- I wonder how many international organizations Eldar Sabiroglu can mention after making such a statement. If the Azerbaijani society does not make any demands to their state officials, does it mean that they can tell lies? On the contrary, recently authoritative analytical centers in Stockholm and London have been asserting just the opposite – despite the huge measures taken by Azerbaijan, its army has not reached any real success. If Sabiroglu has forgotten it, I advise him to familiarize himself more closely with the names of the international organizations.
- Sabiroglu also said that “during the last two or three years, it has become traditional for Armenian soldiers to cross into Azerbaijan.”
- Poor incidents invented by Azerbaijan become traditional. How many cases of Armenian soldiers voluntarily crossing into Azerbaijan can Mr Sabiroglu mention? More, Armenia regularly returns Azerbaijani soldiers leaving their strong points and military units and surrendering themselves to Armenian frontiers. If they have forgotten it, I can remind them that the Armenian side transferred one soldier to Azerbaijan recently.
If the Azerbaijani authorities traditionally continue to deceive their own people by distorting facts, I would like to advise them to understand a very important fact: it is a long time there is complete freedom of information in the Republic of Armenia and Armenian citizens are immediately informed about any incident in the army.
In Azerbaijan, dead bodies are kept in fridges for months, with the organs extracted and sold and those killed by the Armenian fire are presented as victims of internal conflict, while in Armenia, this is impossible in practice.
