Psychologist: “Organize your holidays correctly, take real rest
“For avoiding psychological and physical stresses we need to correctly organize the holidays,” said Maruke Yeghayan, psychologist of “Intra” at press conference today.
According to the speaker the stressfulness increases within the population before the New Year day while it should be just on the contrary; people should calm down and should enjoy their free and pleasant time.
“Get real rest during those days, read your favorite books, read good movies, talk to positive people only. If you had a dream which didn’t come true yet, make it come true in these festive days,” speaker said.
She noticed that the pre-festive tenseness the men try to overcome by drinking and the women by food, “Do not get tensed before the fests and do not try to achieve some unknown standards,” speaker advised.
Psychologist noticed that it has become a usual thing for Armenians linking the food and the rest to each other, “If we go to forest or to Sevan Lake with the family everything again turns around food.” According to Maruke Yegheyan it is all connected with the generation that has faced many hardships and challenges.
“With the generation of World War II you will always find big supplies of matches and sugar as during the war there was a lack of it. Our middle generation has seen lack of different types of food and dishes and tries to show how well it lives today showing off the varieties of food especially during festive holidays,” the speaker said and advised to get rid of these stereotypes and to enjoy the holydays.
