More than 100 Syrian-Armenian students studying in Armenian universities receive scholarship certificates
110 Syrian-Armenian students studying in Armenian universities were handed today scholarship certificates.
The Armenian government made a decision that no tuition fees should be charged from Syrian-Armenian students.
Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan, Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan and Minister of Education and Science Armen Ashotyan handed over the certificates to the students today.
For this purpose, the Armenian government has allocated AMD 40m to the Youth Foundation of Armenia.
In his remarks at the ceremony, Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan noted that the government would watch over the process of students’ integration to society as well as would make efforts towards solving the problems they would come across while studying in Armenia.
“You will always feel government’s support. We try to support you as much as possible,” said the Prime Minister.
