RA police chief, Lieutenant-General Vladimir Gasparyan has issued a congratulatory message on the occasion of New Year and Christmas. 

The message reads, in part:

“On behalf of members of police board and on my behalf I congratulate police officers, their families, citizens of our republic and those who believed and assisted the implementation of our programs, because thanks to their devotion, the passing year was marked by use of new approaches. We are convinced that in 2013 we will see an increase in the number of those who believe and support us, as well as an increase in the exactingness towards the police activities.

The increasing belief in the activities of police is based on an obvious course of reforms, new way of actions of police officers, results of fight against crime, process of “internal cleansing” in the system. The development of the system will further expand in 2013.

We should do everything possible to justify society’s expectations. Within a short time we should create a new police system because strong, fair and modern standard police are an important guarantor of our country’s future.

The passing year showed that we are capable of everything if we believe in ourselves, if we have people’s support and confidence, and we are ready to serve the law and the people with the same devotion.”
