Armenia marks Remembrance Day of the Dead
Armenia marks today the Remembrance Day of the Dead (Merelots), which follows all main religious holidays.
Yesterday, on January 6, the Armenian Apostolic Church celebrated the Feast of the Holy Nativity and Theophany of Our Lord Jesus Christ, which is the commemoration of the Birth and Baptism of Jesus Christ.
Today all churches celebrate the Divine Liturgy. People visit their relatives’ graves.
Christmas holidays are over in Armenia on January 13, when the Feast of Naming of Our Lord Jesus Christ is celebrated.
