Georgian PM congratulates local Armenians on Christmas
Georgian Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili has congratulated his Armenian fellow citizens on Christmas, apsny.ge reported.
“I am happy to have the opportunity to share this great joy over Christmas and Baptism. For centuries, our peoples shared pain and happiness. Ethnic, cultural and religious diversity of Georgia is the biggest wealth of our country which we cherish as the apple of our eye. Our country is proud of the cultural heritage created by representatives of various ethnic and religious groups. Our duty is to protect and take care of this heritage as part of global culture,” Georgian PM’s congratulatory message says.
“Our Armenian fellow citizens played a great part in the revival of the Georgian state, particularly Tbilisi and Gori, and in its economic and cultural development. This role still has to be studied and appreciated,” the message says.
