Sergey Zakuraev to head mobile block of Beeline in Armenia
The CIS business unit of VimpelCom Ltd. announces that Sergey Zakuraev has been appointed as Director of mobile block in CJSC ArmenTel, providing services under Beeline brand in Armenia. Sergey’s appointment will take effect on January 14, 2013.
Commenting on the appointment, Dmitry Kromsky, Head of the CIS business Unit of VimpelCom Ltd. said: "Under his management Beeline Georgia continued strong growth and strengthened its market positions. In Armenia, the scale of our work opens even more opportunities for growth. According to the new strategy ArmenTel’s mobile business has been singled as a separate unit of the company in order to strengthen the focus on this segment. I am sure that Sergey’s experience gained in various business areas in four countries where Beeline operates, will have a positive influence on the development of wireless services in Armenia."

Sergey was born on March 25th, 1974 in Stavropol. In 1995, he graduated from Stavropol Higher Aviation and Engineering College and then continued his education at the Academy of National Economy at RF Government and in 2003, acquired a Masters Degree in Business Administration.
Sergey started the management career in 1999 as a Business Development Director in CJSC StavTeleSot where, under his management, departments of sales, marketing, customer service, product development and public relations were organized. During the 4 year period, he established distribution operations, launched two subsidiary companies and several offices.
Starting from July 2003, Sergey Zakuraev works at VimpelCom, first as a Business Development Director of Southern region (where he led Beeline to gain second largest market share), Director of Stavropol branch (where he facilitated the successful merger of the branch and CJSC StavTeleSot) and Branch Director in Rostov-on-Don (facilitated 3G and FTTH networks’ launch). In October 2008, Sergey was appointed as Business Development Director for JSV GTel-Mobile, which is a joint venture of VimpelCom and GTel under Beeline brand in Vietnam, and where Sergey organized the Business Development Department. Starting in January, 2011 he worked as a Regional Development Director at Unitel Co. Ltd. In December 2011, he was appointed the Chief Executive Officer for Mobitel Co. ltd. Sergey Zakuraev was granted the highest VimpelCom corporate award Diamond Bee. Sergey is married and has two sons.
