Vilanova flies to New York for medical examination
Tito Vilanova has decided to travel to New York to consult specialists in the Sloan-Kettering Memorial Hospital, in order to receive a second opinion of his progress after being operated on for a tumor on his parotid gland, Marca.com reported.
The Sloan Kettering Memorial is presently directed by Catalonian doctor José Baselga, who shares this role with that of Science Director of the Vall d'Hebron University Hospital, where Vilanova was operated on.
In New York, Vilanova will be examined by Doctor Timothy A. Chan.
As a result of this trip, the Barça coach will not be in the dugout for the game against Córdoba.
