Tigran Sargsyan: We should be optimistic this year
This year’s first Cabinet meeting was opened with congratulations. Congratulating cabinet members on New Year and Christmas, Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan noted that 2012 had been a year of hard work and they managed to make progress.
“We also have to work hard in 2013. We should be optimistic to the future, especially as we together created considerable grounds for it in 2012. The international ratings published last year are evidence of it. Particularly, we recorded considerable progress in IT sector as well as improved our business environment,” said the Armenian premier.
Armenia also improved its positions in Heritage Foundation/Wall Street Journal Index of Economic Freedom, which, Tigran Sargsyan believes, also gives grounds for optimism and they hope that they will be able to advance the reforms in 2013.
We should mention that Armenia is 38th in Index of Economic Freedom, Georgia 21st, Turkey 69th, Azerbaijan 88th, Iran 168th.
