Iranian ambassador to Syria refutes Al Arabiya report about his death
The Iranian ambassador to Syria refutes the news that a terrorist attack has been carried out against him, Irdiplomacy.ir reported.
In an interview with Lebanese TV channel Al Mayadeen TV, Mohammad Reza Sheibani refuted Al Arabiya’s report that the ambassador, several members of Hezbollah and Russian soldiers were allegedly attacked by terrorists as they were entering the Syrian presidential residence and the Iranian ambassador was killed.
The Iranian ambassador noted that since Syrian rebels freed 48 Iranian prisoners, some forces have been spreading false information, trying to cast a shadow on this success.
Al Arabiya TV Channel is a state-owned television channel, the Iranian source adds.
