Hovhannes Sahakyan: I do not think Aram Harutyunyan has any other accomplishments besides running for president
I remember isolated cases of defeated majoritarian candidates congratulating the winner in an election. So if defeated presidential candidates find inner strength to congratulate the winner, it would be great progress in our electoral process, RPA parliamentary faction secretary Hovhannes Sahakyan told a news conference.
Commenting on presidential candidates, Mr Sahakyan said that Raffi Hovannisian, Hrant Bagratyan and Paruyr Hayrikyan had a political biography and were popular in this respect, adding that he was not serious about the other candidates.
“I do not think that Aram Harutyunyan has any other accomplishments besides running for president,” he said.
The Republican MP denied the rumors that RPA candidate Serzh Sargsyan had contributed to the artificial nomination of some presidential candidates – “especially as the elections are an event which requires impartiality.”
