CEC refuses application of Presidential candidate
CEC decided to refuse the application of RA Presidential candidate Andreas Ghukasyan according to which he demanded to invalidate presidential candidate Serzh Sargsyan’s registration. As Tigran Mukuchyan, CEC chairman, stated during the session, the administrative bodies should preserve all the laws and administrative principles. They have the right to commit all the functions that are fixed by the Constitution.
“None of the acts should contradict the law. The administrative acts and powers are suggested by law,” T. Manukyan stressed and added that the application was baseless and could serve a precedent.
