Bako Sahakyan holds consultation meeting on water supply issues
On January 18, President of Artsakh Republic Bako Sahakyan held a consultation meeting on issues of water supply in the republic.
President Bako Sahakyan said that water supply, effective utilization of water resources and their protection are strategic directions concerning almost all areas of the state’s life and are among the key components of the state security.
Referring to the activities to be carried out in this field President Sahakyan emphasized that it is necessary to implement such a complex project, which would reflect the present situation in an objective and proper manner, would reveal problems of water supply in all the settlements of the republic and outline the ways of their solution. The President noted that sober logic and priorities should be the basis of the solutions, which would make possible to improve the situation and create a firm basis for the socioeconomic development.
Bako Sahakyan gave concrete instructions to the heads of the concerned structures for proper implementation of the planned activities.
NKR Prime Minister Ara Harutyunyan, National Assembly Deputy Speaker Arthur Tovmasyan and other officials attended the consultation, Central Information Department at Artsakh President's Office reported.
