Presidential candidate, specialist in epic studies Vardan Sedrakyan started his election campaign with a press conference, saying that he is not going to distribute booklets and will not have election posters until February 1. 

During this period, Sedrakyan will only give television interviews, will closely work with regional TV companies and will give press conferences, he noted.

Sedrakyan added that he is not planning to hold campaign rallies in Armenian regions.

The presidential hopeful said that he will start active campaign on February 1, and that his general election headquarters will be opened on that day.

When asked why citizens should vote for him, Sedrakyan gave more than a dozen reasons for it.

“They will vote for me because I will dissolve the unfair National Assembly, I will give all parties an opportunity to participate in new, fair elections. A fair government, National Assembly will be formed then to act as a counterbalance to the President. Citizens will vote for me because I do not run for president with a party for the purpose of giving my teammates ministerial portfolios and parliamentary mandates,” he said.
