Arman Melikyan to ensure legal elections during his campaign
Presidential candidate Arman Melikyan is suspending his election campaign in the economic, political and social aspects, he told a news conference in Yerevan.
“The only thing I will do is to ensure legal elections,” he said.
“We will make relevant statements, will meet with international election observers. We should have the right to know how many people have left Armenia as well as how many voters there are in the country. Without it, it is no use to hold elections,” the candidate noted.
According to him, Armenia’s Central Electoral Commission readdressed their application to police.
“We should know if Diaspora Armenians who have obtained Armenian citizenship are included in voter lists,” he added.
Melikyan said that he will either wait until February 8 and then withdraw his candidacy or he will not withdraw and will announce the day before the voting day that the elections are rigged.
