Incumbent President, RPA leader Serzh Sargsyan has visited the city of Agarak as part of his campaign tour of Syunik region. 

“I am grateful to you for coming here to support me and to talk about our future actions,” Serzh Sargsyan said, addressing those present at his campaign rally held at the Palace of Culture of Agarak.

In his remarks, Serzh Sargsyan dwelt on the social problems of the people.

“In parallel with ensuring stable growth, we should do our utmost to guarantee social justice for Armenian citizens, for people to be confident not only in the present but also in the future,” he noted.

Poverty remains among the most serious problems and the experience showed that it cannot be solved by providing benefits and holding charity events, said Serzh Sargsyan.

“It is necessary to thoroughly study the circumstances generating poverty. During several past years, we managed to liquidate injustice in calculating pensions. Now it’s time to change the system. Our pension problems will be solved by the introduction of pension accumulation system,” said the President. “Nobody will work instead of us to improve our country. This is the way we can build a safe and prosperous Armenia.”
