Capello delighted with job as Russia coach
Fabio Capello is delighted with his first six months as Russia coach, the Italian said Wednesday, according to R-Sport.
Russia are unbeaten in six matches since Capello took charge in July, with a 1-0 home win over Portugal the unquestionable highlight.
“I’m very happy with my decision [to take the job]. We’ve had good results in World Cup qualifying,” he said. “I’m satisfied with what I’ve managed to do.”
Capello added he wants to shatter the Russian Premier League’s tactical orthodoxy.
“In the Russian league, everyone more or less plays the same. I intend to try to change something in terms of tactics, so that we get a team with a big T,” he said.
