Italian Bari city recognizes Armenian Genocide
The authorities of Italian Bari city have adopted a bill according to which the crimes committed by the Turks in 1915 have recognized as Genocide.
According to “Ermenihaber.am” news site a cross stone monument has been installed in Bari in memory of the Armenian refugees who sheltered in Bari during the Years of Armenian Genocide.
Mayor of Bari Michel Emiliano, Armenian ambassador to Italy Boris Sahakyan, chairman of Italian Armenians Paykar Svazlyan and others attended the opening ceremony of the monument. Thus Bari became the 70th of the Italian cities that has recognized and condemned the Armenian Genocide.
