Armenian-Russian military consultation, co-chaired by Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu and Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan, has ended at Armenian Defense Ministry. The two Defense Ministers issued a joint statement following the meeting. 

Seyran Ohanyan said that he discussed with his Russian counterpart a wide range of issues related to international and regional security, summed up their views on a number of topical issues as well as on military and technical issues.

“Certainly, this visit gives renewed impetus to the further development of Armenian-Russian allied relations as well as contributes to the strengthening of friendship and good neighborly relations, stability and security in the region,” said Seyran Ohanyan.

Sergei Shoigu, for his part, noting that their meeting follows agreements reached between the two countries last year, expressed the hope that all agreements reached this year will be carried out.
