Communist Party of Armenia not to back any candidate
The Communist Party of Armenia will not nominate a candidate and will not back any of the candidates in the upcoming presidential elections, Communist Party leader Ruben Tovmasyan told a news conference, adding that the party made this decision during the plenary session of its Central Committee on December 29, 2012.
“Under the circumstances, we thought it was senseless to nominate a candidate. The key parties refused to nominate a candidate, while the others nominated their candidate just for the sake of nomination. The situation is tense,” he explained.
