Arsen Beglaryan: It’s a great honor for me to be invited to national team
As we have previously reported, Armenian national team head coach Vardan Minasyan announced the list of players, who will prepare for the friendly match against Luxembourg. The match will take place on the 5th of February in Valence, France. Arsen Beglaryan, FC Gandzasar young goalkeeper, is among the players who are invited to Armenian national team for the first time.
- Arsen, congratulations on your first call-up to Armenian national team. What do you feel at the moment?
- Thanks, I feel very happy. I heard about the call-up to the national team during the training camp with FC Gandzasar in Turkey.
- Did you expect that you will be invited to the national team so soon?
- Of course, I had a hope, but I could not expect that it will happen so soon. The main goal of my move to FC Gandzasar was that I wanted to be under the spotlight of Armenian national team coaches.
- Do you know any of our national team players?
- I know players with whom I played in U-21 team, and players that perform in Armenian premier league. Recently I got acquainted with Hrayr Mkoyan and Artak Yedigaryan. I also know Arthur Sarkisov.
- What are your expectations from upcoming friendly against Luxembourg?
- I think it will be a tough game, as Luxembourg has improved a lot recently. Besides, the match has a friendly status. That’s why I think Vardan Minasyan will make some experiments.
- Do you hope to take part in the match?
- Each player, invited to the national team, hopes to play. However, even if I don’t play, I will not be sad, as, I think, everything is still to come. It will be a good experience for me to train with Armenian national team goalkeepers. Besides, the invitation to the national team is a big achievement and a great honor.
