Hayrikyan questioned, named as victim
Armenian presidential candidate Paruyr Hayrikyan was questioned and named as a victim in the framework of the criminal case investigated by the National Security Service of Armenia, NSS spokesman Artsvin Baghramyan told Panorama.am.
“Operational and investigative activities are underway, with all hypotheses being checked,” he added.
Presidential candidate, chairman of National Self-Determination Union Paruyr Hayrikyan was shot and wounded by unknown gunmen in Yerevan at 23:30 local time Thursday. He was taken to Surb Grigor Lusavorich Medical Center, where he underwent surgery on February 1. A criminal case was opened in connection with the incident.
