Cristiano Ronaldo says Real Madrid are a better team than Manchester United
Cristiano Ronaldo believes that Real Madrid have enough quality to see off his former club Manchester United in the last 16 of the Champions League, Goal.com reported.
The Portugal winger became the most expensive player in football history when he left Old Trafford for the Santiago Bernabeu for £80 million in 2009.
Real Madrid will host the first leg of the tie on February 13 and Ronaldo believes the Spanish champions are the stronger team on paper.
"I believe things will go well," he told Champions magazine. "In my opinion Real Madrid have a better team, although we have to show that on the pitch because United are a very united team and always have been in recent years."
