Hayrikyan says he suffers from severe pain in his arm
Armenian presidential candidate Paruyr Hayrikyan reported good and bad news on his Facebook page this morning. The good news is that the investigation of the crime is underway. Hayrikyan writes that he thinks there will soon be official information about it.
The bad news is that his right arm is disabled. “The 29 cm long wound is healing over, but my right arm aches and remains disabled. I had to be anaesthetized twice during the night so as to be able to sleep. I am suffering from severe pain at the moment,” he added.
Presidential candidate, chairman of National Self-Determination Union Paruyr Hayrikyan was shot and wounded by unknown gunmen in Yerevan at 23:30 local time on January 31. He was taken to Surb Grigor Lusavorich Medical Center, where he underwent surgery on February 1. A criminal case was opened in connection with the incident.
