Paruyr Hayrikyan to apply to Constitutional Court
About an hour ago, presidential candidate Paruyr Hayrikyan visited hunger-striking presidential candidate Andrias Ghukasyan and urged him to end hunger strike, Aysor.am reported.
Hayrikyan told reporters that he had made a final decision to apply to the Constitutional Court for postponing the presidential elections.
“I am going to file an application to the Constitutional Court at 15:30 tomorrow,” he said.
Armenian presidential candidate, chairman of National Self-Determination Union Paruyr Hayrikyan was shot and wounded by unknown gunmen in Yerevan on January 31.
According to Armenia's constitution, the election could be postponed by two weeks if a candidate is unable to campaign or run.
