Zhoghovurd: Presidential candidate may face money laundering charges
The clouds are gathering over presidential candidate Vardan Sedrakyan, Zhoghovurd reports.
“His transition from a modest to a luxurious lifestyle with expensive cars could not escape the attention of law enforcers. With two of his neighbors arrested in connection with the shooting of presidential candidate Paruyr Hayrikyan, Sedrakyan himself will be summoned to Armenia’s National Security Service (NSS) for questioning. Law enforcers are most of all interested in the sources of the candidate’s financing and therefore he will have to introduce the necessary documents. It is not ruled out that he may be accused of money laundering,” writes the paper.
