New details revealed in Dink case
New details have been revealed in the case of Hrant Dink, the editor-in-chief of the bilingual Turkish-Armenian newspaper Agos, Haberler.com reported.
Istanbul's Heavy Juvenile Criminal Court received a confession letter from an inmate serving his sentence in the Tokat Province of Turkey.
In the letter, he said that he would provide information and evidence about Dink’s assassination only if his and his family’s security was guaranteed.
Prosecutor Muammer Akkas ordered police to keep a watch on the author of the letter and his family.
The author of the letter said he knew Erhan Tuncel, one of the defendants in Dink case.
He said they had examined the area surrounding Agos office before the assassination, which was organized by a group in which both he and Erhan Tuncel were included.
Hrant Dink was gunned down in front of his office on February 19, 2007 in Istanbul.
