Sit-down strike held in support of hunger-striking candidate Andrias Ghukasyan
Neither presidential candidate Andrias Ghukasyan nor his campaign headquarters follow the voting process, the candidate, who is on a hunger strike near the building of the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia, told Panorama.am. He added that he felt well and had no health problems.
A sit-down strike was held near the building of the National Academy of Sciences, organized by a group of citizens, including political scientists Saro Saroyan and Manvel Sargsyan as well as David Harutyunyan, Mihran Margaryan, Karen Harutyunyan, Vahagn Minasyan. Activist, blogger Bayandur Poghosyan also joined them. The protesters were holding a placard that read, 'No to the regime: election fraud is a state crime.’
