Hayrikyan in hospital, informed about preliminary results of election by journalists
Presidential candidate, leader of National Self-Determination Union Paruyr Hayrikyan, who was shot in Yerevan on January 31, is in hospital and complains of severe pains. He said he even was not familiar with the preliminary results of presidential election.
He got surprised when the journalists told him he had received 18,093 votes (1.23 percent).
When asked if he thinks it is really too much, the candidate said, “Yes, catastrophically much. It is a catastrophic thing for a man shot during the campaign to receive any votes at all. Thanks to the people who supported me.”
