Zhoghovurd: No meeting held with U.S. Ambassador to Armenia
U.S. Ambassador to Armenia John Heffern was active on the Election Day, Zhoghovurd reports. According to the paper’s information, the Ambassador conducted direct and mediated talks with the Armenian authorities as well as with the head of RPA campaign headquarters Hovik Abrahamyan, urging them not to sum up the results of election with blatant violations because there can be interesting post-electoral developments. But the ruling party made the Ambassador understand that in any case they will announce that their candidate won the first round of election. RPA campaign headquarters denied this rumor, saying that the head of RPA campaign headquarters did not meet with the U.S. Ambassador.
