President-elect Sargsyan’s spokesperson Arzumanyan says meeting with Raffi Hovhannisian possible
During post-electoral rally yesterday Raffi Hovhannisian made a private or public meeting request to President-elect Serzh Sargsyan. With regard to this, Panorama.am asked incumbent President Serzh Sargsyan’s spokesperson Armen Arzumanyan how he would evaluate statements of Raffi Hovhannisian, and whether or not the President-elect might take the opportunity and meet with Hovhannisian.
In reply, Arzumanyan mentioned: “All the international monitoring missions testified, that Presidential elections of 2013 has been the best in the 21-year history of the Republic of Armenia. We see this as an evaluation of a huge work already done, which cannot but encourage. The statements of Mr Hovhannisian, at minimum, are puzzling with this background.
With regards to the meeting request – the President has always shown readiness to meet with all the political forces and their leaders in any appropriate time. No exception can be done here, moreover if we speak of a politician who scored the second in the elections. The President is willful to receive Mr Hovhannisian at his best availabilities now, furthermore to clarify the rather incomprehensible statements of Mr Hovhannisian in reference to the aims of the meeting”, concluded Arzumanyan.
