High-ranking RPA officials from Shirak region are very upset by the fact that Raffi Hovannisian received more votes than Serzh Sargsyan in three cities, namely Gyumri, Artik and Maralik, Zhoghovurd reports, citing well-informed sources. Rumors circulated yesterday that head of the department of education of Shirak administration Sahak Minasyan, who was the head of Serzh Sargsyan’s campaign headquarters in Shirak, had a heart stroke. But he denied the rumor when contacted by the paper. There is an opinion that Serzh Sargsyan’s defeat in Shirak will have grave consequences for the region’s officials, the paper says.
