168 Zham: Who will head ANC party?
On February 23, by a vote of 375 for, 6 against and 3 abstained, the 18th extraordinary convention of Armenian National Movement party decided to rename Armenian National Movement into Armenian National Congress party (ANC). Earlier rumors said ANC coordinator, MP Levon Zurabyan would head ANC party. Zurabyan, however, refuted the rumor entirely when contacted by 168 Zham.
“The party is ruled by democratic principles and I will do my utmost for Levon Ter-Petrosyan to head it, but, after all, it is up to the party to decide it. I have no right to decide instead of the party,” Zurabyan told the paper.
“I do not think I can do that job better than Levon Ter-Petrosyan,” he added.
